Sky's Central Futurity placement 9/17/09

Sky's official photo from placement at the Central Futurity in Indiana Sept 17, 2009. We had a marvelous time at the futurity, saw many old friends (including Grace the "pie lady") and met new ones. It was so much fun sharing a room with Laura and Sky's brother Marshall, and of course wonderful Dillon. Can't wait to get together again!

Hitchhiking quail on judges horse-Walhalla SC test

Hunt Test season has started and Joe & I were fortunate enough to be invited to judge for the Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta's first AKC Hunt Test. This club has hosted Field Trials in the past and are an experienced and enthusiastic group. The test was held at ZZ Farm in Gordon GA at the home of Nicholas and Aline Scharpf. The grounds were excellent, horses even better, and the participants, club members and gunners the best! We don't have pictures yet from the test that our friend Darcy w/Bart the Wonder Dog took, but we will add them soon. We are posting some previous shots from hunt tests Joe and I have judged.

This is the winning photograph of Sky that has been published on the front page of the Sylva Herald in color, all photo's entered in the contest are on display in the picture window of the newspaper's office, located on Main Street in Downtown Sylva. Sky gets her whimsical ways honestly from her model mother, Trixie.

Recently we submitted some photo's of Sky and our other Weimaraners to a pet photo contest, with all entry fees going to a local rescue organization (ARF). Out of almost 50 entries, photo of Sky was voted "Best in Show"! A goody bag was given to the individual category winners (pictured) and Sky.

Sky's buddies Rob Chavious and Trudy Shealy invited us to a friend's house at Lake Murray to help Sky learn to swim. Their male Weim "Brad" is one of Sky's best buddies, but she really thinks the world of Rob, she has voted him President of her fan club!
